Covid Challenges for St. Louis Restaurants

In case you haven’t heard, COVID was especially hard on local St. Louis restaurants.  Whether it was the ongoing pressure of keeping customers and employees safe and healthy or not being allowed to have customers in your place of business, it was difficult times indeed. For those local dining establishments that were allowed to open for business, many found it difficult to hire and train staff. It is no secret that even before the coronavirus pandemic interrupted our lives that the restaurant business is quite difficult.

Depending on the St. Louis municipal government in which a restaurant was located, many places had to stay up to date with the ever changing St. Louis health rules and regulations. Cleanliness has always been a priority for food service providers but extra sanitation and safety measures were being put in place that had to learned on the go.

STL restaurant employees were force to redesign their seating layout to accomodate for new social distancing guidelines and limited capacity. Some STL dining spots were foreced to have separate extrances andd exits. These were just some of the challenges restaurants in St. Louis had to face – and this is just if you were lucky enough to remain open!
